Our Sustainability Report

Our Sustainability Report

Welcome to the Neeludan Group's inaugural Sustainability Report. This document outlines our commitment, progress, and future ambitions to operate as a responsible and sustainable enterprise. As a group with diverse interests in commodities trading, energy, and construction, we recognize our role in building a better future for our planet and its people. This report reflects our dedication to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across our global operations.

Our Pillars of Action

We focus on three interconnected pillars to drive our sustainability efforts:

1. Environmental Stewardship

We are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint and contributing to a more sustainable global economy.

  • Carbon Footprint Reduction: We are implementing efficiency improvements across our logistics and supply chains. For our energy division, we are actively exploring and investing in technologies that reduce emissions from our operations. Our goal is to achieve a 15% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030.
  • Sustainable Materials: In our construction projects, we prioritize the use of sustainable and locally sourced materials. Our target is to have 30% of Wustengrun's project materials derived from recycled or sustainable sources by 2028.
  • Waste Management: We have implemented comprehensive waste reduction and recycling programs at all our offices and project sites. Our goal is to divert 90% of all project waste from landfills by 2027.
2. Social Responsibility

We believe our people are our greatest asset and our communities are our partners.

  • Workplace Health and Safety: We maintain a rigorous safety culture, with zero tolerance for accidents. Our construction and energy teams receive ongoing, mandatory safety training. We are proud to report a 50% reduction in lost-time incidents over the past year.
  • Ethical Supply Chain: We hold our suppliers and partners accountable to our Code of Ethics. We have successfully audited 75% of our key suppliers to ensure they meet our standards for labor rights and environmental practices. We aim for 100% compliance by 2026.
  • Community Engagement: We are actively involved in the communities where we work. We have contributed to local infrastructure projects in Kerala and have supported educational initiatives in the UAE, aligning our business goals with community development.
3. Governance and Transparency

Our commitment to sustainability is underpinned by strong governance and ethical leadership.

  • Risk Management: We have integrated ESG factors into our risk management framework to better identify and mitigate risks related to climate change, human rights, and business ethics.
  • Compliance and Reporting: We adhere to all local and international laws and regulations. This report is our first step toward a more comprehensive reporting framework, and we plan to align with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards in the coming years to provide even greater detail on our performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: We actively engage with our employees, clients, and partners to understand their priorities and gather feedback on our sustainability initiatives. This dialogue is crucial for shaping our future strategy and ensuring we remain accountable to all our stakeholders
